Every year I take the same approach to staying healthy, I start with a New Year’s resolution that doesn’t last through the winter, I start healthy habits though spring and summer, and then it hits. The holiday season that seems to never end. From Fall to Spring I must survive through all the holiday food I’m cooking for my family. They are not into health food and I have always had a hard time incorporating healthy options into our meals. Thankfully I have complied this list that makes upgrading your Thanksgiving into a guilt free event that will taste amazing.  The biggest tip in all of this is portion control, too much of a good thing can still be bad. Thankfully these foods are so good your family members might finish them before you can go for seconds.

The holiday season can be stressful since we have to do so much in a very short amount of time. Dieting also seems impossible as the cold weather sets in and our families gather. You don’t have to avoid your favorite holiday foods this season though. We have selected our favorite dishes that are simple to make and perfect to upgrade your meals this holiday season. Upgrading these meals simply means taking what makes them great and creating guilt free eating options that everyone will love. We created this list to include the staples of holiday meals like sweet potatoes, dressing, cornbread, and Brussels sprouts.
